plans for the future

We haven't been on in about a month I think. We are really getting into the busiest time of the year for us! I think we will only be home a week and a half in march! Usually Feb. is my month to spend with Josh because there aren't many sports or hunting activities....that hasn't been true this feb.!
I am so excited about Disney World in April! I think I mention it to Josh at least once a day. Just about an hour ago actually! He responded sarcastically "Are you excited, baby?" Nope....not at all....YES!!! This is one of the biggest trips ever for me! This was also going to be the first time I would have seen the beach. But, we are taking the college students on a mission trip to GA and we will be having some devotionals on the coast. So, that will actually be the first time. We have a lot of fun activities coming up, Lord willing. Keep us in your prayers as we travel.
We love you all!

It's been so long!

Wow, time flies! Things are going well. I remember at this time last year things were so busy and they are no different this year. I am planning about 5 different church activities at once. I think March was the busiest month...bring it on...I will be ready!
Mom and Nathan came to visit last weekend! We had a lot of fun! Mom and I painted the kitchen on Saturday while Nathan and Josh went hunting...all they got was one squirrel. Nathan did see a 6 point buck...but not in enough time to shoot it. Mom made us homemade chicken and dumplins!
We are heading to Gatlinburg in a few weeks for the Marriage Retreat the Jacksonville puts on every year. It is so awesome! I wish everyone that is married could be there! I think we are heading back on Friday instead of Saturday because Hank and Angie are coming to visit! Then the very next weekend we are heading back up there to take the College group to a retreat called Family Matters. Josh and I have never been so it will be new for us!
We are getting very excited about the trip to Disney World in April! It will be so nice to be able to spend a week with Matt, Stacy and the kids, and Mom, David and Nathan!
Well, I am fixing to get started on planning the Sweetheart Banquet for the elderly. I only have 2 weeks...eeek!
Love and Miss you all!

PLUS

I forgot to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! May your 2009 be all you hope for! Yesterday marked 8 years that Josh and I have been together! Lord willing we will share many more together! I hope you are able to keep all of your New Years Resolutions....I am not sure if I am maing any yet. Well, maybe just 1 or 2....
Have fun everyone and stay safe!

Holiday Fun!

We have been able to stay home for a little over two weeks this Christmas and New Year! Josh has been spending a lo of time hunting with his dad, brother, ucle and Nathan! Josh has killed 2 does so far. We have seen a lot of family and actually been able to spend time with them this year. I just wish we were able to see everyone we wanted to see. But, I guess you can't have everything.
We have had a few emotional roller coasters. A member at Glendale had a stroke, then just a few minutes later we found out that one of the teenagers at Jacksonville was baptized. Then yesterday we learned that Aunt Janet passed away. Keep the family in your prayers.
For the most part the 'vacation' has been wonderful. Now the family is looking forward to Disney World...not rushing it, but looking forward to it!
Well, we just have 2 whole days left here and then it is back to AL. It will take a while for things to get back into the groove. We look forward to getting back into the swing of things, but we will really miss TN and the familly. We are thankful to God that we have been able to spend the amount of time we have with our loved ones. Remember us on our drive home.
We love you all!

We Made It

Well, we finally made it in to TN about 9ish last night. We had a great drive in until we got to Jackson.... We stopped in Jackson to check the air in the right trailer tire when Josh noticed that the left tire was GONE! So, my grandparents happened to be in Jackson shopping, so we called them to come over there so we could go get another tire....Josh and Bpa went to Wal Mart and got a tire, came back and changed it, and we finally got to leave. We stayed with his parents last night and today at lunch Josh and Evan headed out to Fayette county to hunt tomorrow. I really hope Josh gets something! Joshs mom and grandmother have tons of Christmas candy made ready for everyone to eat...Judy made a white fudge with black walnuts in it that is delicious! I am so excited about spending time with everyone for Christmas!

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and great New Year!

We are still here!

We have been very busy lately! We made a quick trip up to Nashville last weekend to do all of our Christmas shopping..just a few left! We met up with Dustin and Laura. We have already been having some Christmas parties here!
A student of ours went hunting with Josh and I last night. We had a lot of fun, except for the 3 hours of unsuccessful looking for the deer. Josh and Jeremy went back this morning and found it. We are headed home Thursday morning. See you all soon!

thank you!

Wow, it has been almost a month....time flies when you are busy!
Well, tomorrow is Thanksgiving and Josh and I have so much to be thankful for! First of all salvation! We hate that we couldn't be in TN this Thanksgiving, but we have plenty of vacation saved up for Christmas! We are getting more and more excited about Disney World next Spring!
Josh and I put up our tree two Sundays ago because I wasn't sure when else we would have time...but I didn't decorate it until today! I am excited for our first Christmas in our own house! It will just be the two of us eating tomorrow but Evan and Christina are coming late tomorrow night. I think Friday may be a girls only day! I always love it when we have company! Well, it is almost time for services...talk later.
